The pen creates micro channels that carry up to 80% more topical nutrients into the skin. This increases the absorption of active ingredients, stimulating repair at a cellular level and accelerating the regeneration of the skin’s cells.
How does Dermapen work?
The micro-needling pen uses sterile, individually-sealed, disposable needle cartridges for optimal patient safety and comfort. Every Dermapen needle tip is actually made up of 12 smaller needles, which penetrate vertically into the skin. This creates small, micro-skin channels, while stimulating the skin’s natural ability to heal itself and increasing the production of new collagen.
How many treatments will I need?
We generally recommend a course of 4-6 treatments (roughly one treatment per month) but this will depend on your individual condition and treatment plan.
How long will it take?
A full face can be treated in around 10 minutes. (not including any time for topical anaesthetic to work, however this is seldom needed).
How soon will I see results?
Results typically can be seen after just 1 Dermapen treatment, however cumulative treatments may be required to achieve the full desired result. The regenerating process will continue for up to 24 months post treatment.
Is Dermapen treatment painful?
Dermapens’ unique oscillating system increases tolerance by diffusing the nerve sensation making it a comfortable procedure. However, being a Dentist, Dr. Stephanie can administer topical anaesthetic if needed.
